Van der Valk hotel Mechelen is located on the edge of the centre of Mechelen. The city's main market is at a 15-minute walk. The hotel opened in November 2019 and is located in a monumental building. From 1924 to 2001, the building was used for the swimming pool of Mechelen called den Ouwen Dok. Original features have been preserved in the hotel and the large swimming pool has been transformed into a beautiful pond.
