Luxurious, new rooms
Each room features twin beds (cots, extra beds, and double toppers are available upon request), climate control, an armchair, and a private balcony with seating. Around the desk, you'll find coffee and tea facilities, a radio, a telephone, free Wi-Fi, satellite and smart TVs. Other amenities include a safe, a full-length mirror, a luggage storage bench, ironing supplies, and – upon request – laundry and dry cleaning services. The bathroom features a separate bathtub, walk-in shower, toilet, hairdryer, and toiletries.
Delicious breakfast, lunch & dinner
You can also enjoy an à la carte restaurant at the hotel for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Enjoy a lavish breakfast buffet. For lunch and dinner, you can choose from classic dishes with a modern twist. There's a wide selection of meat, fish, and vegetarian options. Vegan options are also available. Kids can order something from the children's menu while playing in the kids' corner. For seniors and those with a smaller appetite, we offer smaller portions. There's also a wine cellar and a large sun terrace. Prefer to order in your room? Room service is also available. The café and patisserie are located in the spacious lobby.
The ideal location
With a bus stop just around the corner from the hotel, you can easily explore the vibrant region. Meanwhile, your belongings can be safely stored in the luggage storage room. Free parking is also available if you're traveling by car. Cyclists can use the secure bicycle parking, or you can easily rent a bicycle, e-bike, or e-chopper.
Renovation information
The renovation is progressing well!
The hotel will open its doors on September 1, 2025, with 66 rooms, the new restaurant, and the patisserie. The hotel bar and function rooms will also reopen on November 1, 2025. While we are working on this, we will do our utmost to minimize any inconvenience. The work will take place between 7:00 AM and 6:00 PM.

At Van der Valk Hotel Volendam, you can host a variety of parties and events. There are 11 versatile function rooms. Choose from permanent boardrooms, private dining rooms, and multifunctional spaces: suitable for small and large groups of up to 385 people. Starting in 2026, there will also be an outdoor venue for a BBQ or even a wedding!
Discover Amsterdam - The bus stop around the corner from the hotel will take you to Amsterdam Central Station in 25 minutes. From there, you can also easily visit Dam Square, shop in Kalverstraat, or explore the charming 9 Straatjes (Nine Streets). Another great option: Amsterdam-Noord is just a 15-minute drive away. This hip and diverse district is known for its industrial charm and creative hotspots. Here you'll find iconic spots like the A'DAM Tower and the NDSM site with its street art and festivals.
Visit the picturesque region - Just a few kilometers from the hotel, you'll discover the historic fishing village of Volendam with its picturesque dikes. Stroll through the unique harbor and sample delicious fish. A photo in traditional costume is a must! Nearby are picturesque Monnickendam, Edam, Hoorn, Zuiderwoude, and the IJsselmeer lake. All surrounded by beautiful polders and water. Explore by bike, on foot, or with a bus ticket available at reception.
