The Aschersleben Zoo is located in the south-west of Aschersleben in Saxony-Anhalt. The park covers an area of 10 hectares with forests, hills and 500 animals. There is a lot of focus on monkeys and cats that are threatened with extinction, such as the Siberian tiger. They have a private living area of over 2.000 square meters.

Jaguars and monkeys

In the hilly forests on Aschersleben zoo you will find both exotic and native species. Flamingos greet you immediately after the entrance. There is a 500m² large marshy landscape especially for jaguars. In the tropical house you can visit crocodiles and rare Galapagos iguanas. In the outdoor house you will find globally threatened monkey species. And in the open areas, you can admire the white Siberian tiger. There is plenty of space to give all the animals a decent life. There is also a planetarium where you can learn all about the universe.
