Hiking in the Veluwe region

The Veluwe has beautiful areas where you can walk. The Hoge Veluwe National Park, it’s wildlife and the biodiversity with its highlights. However, the area has other highlights as well such as Crown land het Loo and the Veluwezoom-Posbank.

Boar and avenues

You walk through a very wooded area with beautiful pine forests, heaths and shifting-sand areas in the Hoge Veluwe National Park. When you keep your eyes and pay attention you may see wild boars, deer and rare bird species. Crown land het Loo is famous for its palace park. This area of over 600 ha is located near Het Loo Palace and has beautiful avenues, ponds and lawns. There are several walking routes available where you can walk along heath fields and forests. With some luck you may find a badger or a fox.

Palace gardens and paths

Wander around near the many attractions of the Veluwe. Het Loo Palace has more to offer than just the Palace park. There is also a very beautiful garden with fountains and garden statues in a tight construction. You can endlessly stroll through it. In national park the Hoge Veluwe you can choose for the so-called Landscape paths. These paths will lead you along highlights such as the Kröller-Muller museum and Pampelse sand.
